MORRIS CHARITY EVENTS
We have set up a Charitable Trust called "BUILD AID", which can be found under www.buildaid.org.uk, through which we will be building a healthcare facility in Haiti this year. Our Co-Directors of Build Aid travel out to Haiti to ensure that 100% of the money that we raise is spent directly on this. Last year we raised an amazing £130,000 from our Cannonball bringing the total raised from our charity events, including our Annual Sky Dives and Running with the Bulls in Pamplona, to over £600,000.
Gearing-up for Cannonball 2012
Preparations are well underway for this year’s Morris Cannonball Run which will start on Monday 4th June.
The cars will be taken across the channel by transporters and the drivers will collect them in Italy before embarking on the journey of a lifetime, staying in some of the most luxurious hotels in Europe. The drivers will follow navigational clues from Milan, over the awesome Stelvio Pass to Lake Garda, then on to Zagreb in Croatia before finishing in Budapest and flying home on Sunday 10th June.
Said organiser, Robert Morris "Over the last 5 years we have been increasing our charity income for "Build Aid" which now stands at over £600,000.
Every penny goes to charity and we are well on the way to starting our hospital project in Haiti which will begin construction early this year.
This year's event is already almost sold out with 20 cars helping towards the target of £1m!
Skydive in Barcelona
The 2011 Morris charity sky dive trip was a huge success with 27 people heading over to Empuriabrava in Spain at the end of September and raising £30,000 for BuildAid.
A big thanks to all who took part, those who donated and bought auction prizes and to all the sponsors. Every penny raised will go to BuildAid to help fund the fantastic work that they do in disaster hit areas.
There’s much more to the trip than sky diving with football, karting, sailing and water skiing just some of the other activities on the agenda. We will be doing it all again this year, so why not take the plunge and join us?

Build Aid
Morris Furniture's Charitable Trust, Build Aid, is a charity initiative formed initially to provide construction support services and work in partnership with local governments, NGO' s, community groups and individuals following the Tsunami in South East Asia. Its aim is to provide general and specialist building expertise by way of volunteers, funding, training supplying the necessary management, labour, tools, plant and machinery to assist with the reconstruction efforts in areas worst affected by disaster.
